We are pleased to announce that Beijing Association of Science & Technology, Policy Research Center for Environment and Economy of State Environmental Protection Administration, Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will be hosting the Forum on Development of Circular Economy in China from 25th - 27th September, 2005 at Friendship Hotel, Beijing.

As one of main activities of The 7th World Congress on 3R, the forum aims at provide a platform to perform effective dialogue between local and international participants, review solutions available and propose suggestions on recycling economy and sustainable development in China. Forum Organization Committee

Chinese authorities have planned to build up and reinforce the law and policy, technique and innovation system, obligation and prompting mechanism of circular economy before 2010. Up to now, lots of measures have been carried out to boost the development of circular economy, and to afford good condition and policy environment for the development of circular economy in China. The Forum on Development of Circular Economy in China intends to introduce the policy & law system and existing mode & practice experiences, which has the Chinese characteristics, on the development of circular economy in China. Following topics will be covered at the forum:

• Policy system and legislation progress of circular economy in China
• Experiences on development of circular economy from other countries, potential and orientation of circular economy
• Existing mode and practice experiences, which has the Chinese characteristics, on the development of circular economy
• Discussion on the eco-agriculture mode in China
• Modes & practices of cleaner production & eco-industrial park in China

• Regional development mode of circular economy, experiences on eco-province or eco-city construction in China
